Our Chiropractic Techniques
The chiropractic adjustments Dr. Shearman offers are in three different categories:
- 1. Traditional chiropractic adjustments: These are the treatments that provide the “snap, crackle, pop” that patients either love or hate…If you’re one of those people who hates getting your bones cracked, then keep reading!
- 2. Drop table chiropractic adjustments: utilizes a specialized table that provides the forward thrust that is needed to move the spinal bones back into place. There is no “popping” with this type of treatment and is considered much gentler than the traditional adjustment.
- 3. Instrument or tool adjustments: This is a very gentle treatment that works well especially for those patients that don’t like to be “cracked.” It utilizes an instrument that looks something like a gun and is spring powered. Dr. Shearman uses this treatment on children and older patients because it is so gentle.
